Meet the Board!!

The 2023 Board of Directors of JCI Barbados welcomes you! 

Members of the JCI Barbados Board of Directors serve our organization for a term of one administrative year. They lead positive change under their respective portfolios of President, Executive Vice President, Vice Presidents, General Legal Counsel, Treasurer, Secretary and Public Relations Officer. 

The Board is nominated for these positions and the members of JCI Barbados elect them at our Annual General Meeting.

Kiwauna Miller
President
As President, Kizwauna monitors the Chapter's affairs and leads the 2023 Board of Directors in fulfilling their key deliverables. As head of the Local Organization, she acts as the National Councillor to JCI West Indies.

Her is theme for 2023 is "Reignite, Re-engage, Rebuild."
Dario Stoute
Legal Counsel/Immediate
​Past President
Dario provides guidance to the incumbent President and the 2023 Board of Directors, ensuring that all activities are aligned to the mission and vision of the Chapter. His role serves to attest that JCI Barbados’ meetings are in accordance with the Constitution for the administrative year and maintain legality at all times.

Nikita Drakes
Executive vice president
As the second in command, Nikita, oversees the Vice Presidents' portfolios. She is also tasked with managing the execution and sustainable development of our projects through a
focus on sponsorship and the project committees/chairpersons.​

Jamila Walton
treasurer
Jamila plays an integral role in maintaining the financial viability and integrity of the Chapter’s finances. She is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day financial transactions of JCI Barbados and prepares the 2023 Budget.

​Furthermore, her role seeks to capitalize on investment opportunities and offer any financial advice to help the Chapter succeed from strategy through execution.
Devon Parris
VICE PRESIDENT,
internal AFFAIRS and membership growth
Devon is tasked with reigniting the passion of our members through relevant training and social activities. He is also responsible for growing our membership base and in investigating development opportunities and benefits for membership.

Dale Wharton
Secretary general
Dale is charged with the task of providing timely minutes for all meetings as mandated by our Constitution. 

​She will also work closely with the President and Board to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of our business meetings, and with project committee secretaries to ensure the same for their meetings.

Don Roach
Vice President,
EXTERNAL AFFAIRS AND BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
In this role, Don will engage other NGOs, stakeholders and media houses with an aim of strengthening relationships and higlighting the Jci brand. He will also focus on securing sponsorship for the Chapter and will liaise with EVP Nikita to assist in securing project sponsorship also.
Lyn-Marie Christian
PUBLIC RELATIONS OFFICER
Lyn-Marie oversees the public relations committee and is responsible for creating, publishing and managing our traditional and social media marketing campaigns. 

Along with her team, she also manages our social media pages on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and our website.
