Welcome to Colouratic! The third annual JCI Barbados Colouratic 5K Run and Walk will commence at the Esplanade on Bay Street on Saturday, June 16th, 2018 from 3:00 until 6:00 p.m. Colouratic is the original powder and paint race in Barbados that celebrates healthiness, happiness and individuality.
Colouratic is not a race where participants battle it out or aim to run a personal best – the run is not even timed! This five kilometer fun run and walk, with a very colourful twist, sees participants of all ages and fitness levels completely covered in colour by the time they've completed the course. The day is all about connecting with friends and family, being active and just enjoying yourself! With a 2018 theme of "In Living Colour", participants will be doused from head to toe in different colours at each kilometer along the 5 kilometer route and then the fun continues at the finish line with the gigantic "Finishers’ Festival" at the Colour Village. Through colour, Colouratic creates an experience that’s more about the memories you make than your mile per minute and making running feel accessible to a broader demographic. We hope that this event will be able to also act as a catalyst for our participants to live an active, healthy lifestyle. The option is available for persons who don't desire to be covered with powder or paint. |
Event DetailsIt’s less about clocking a 10-minute-mile and more about having the time of your life. With only three rules, the idea is easy to follow: 1. Wear white at the starting line! 2. Finish plastered in color! 3. Have fun with families and/or friends! As always, participants have the option of going around the Colour Checkpoints if they'd like to avoid having colored powder thrown in their directions. Great for companies and staff, families and friends • A fun team-building event everyone can enjoy • Walk, jog, run – do whatever you want • All shapes, sizes and fitness levels welcome • It’s an untimed race, so no pressure • Dynamic Colour Village with food, beverages, DJ music and fun activities to enjoy Giving BackIn keeping with the spirit of JCI Barbados, as a non-profit organization, we love the opportunity to raise funds for worthy causes and help shine a light on their amazing work within society.
