Special Day for Special Children

Special Day for Special Children, also known as "Special Day", has been enjoyed by children with special needs for over fourteen years, with each year becoming highly anticipated and more exciting!

In 2013, Junior Chamber International Barbados (JCI Barbados) celebrated fifteen years of hosting this heartwarming event by seeking to achieve a greater sense of purpose, by concentrating on increasing the level of awareness within our society while allowing the children of the disabled community to feel appreciated.

Objectives
  • Execute a series of events/programs which will climax with the highly anticipated “Special Day for Special Children” fun day for the differently-abled children of Barbados.
  • Create an environment where the “Special Children” of Barbados can experience a true sense of appreciation and by the same token to generate public awareness for Junior Chamber International Barbados (JCI Barbados) and our sponsors.
  • Develop an understanding of the differently-abled to help promote acceptance and inclusion in the wider community.
  • Attract in excess of 300 children to participate in “Special Day for Special Children” fun day.

Interested in this phenomenal project? You can become a member or look to partner with us.  We would love to have you on our team!

Remember "Service to Humanity is the BEST work of LIFE!"
